Scratch Cookery is a Nashville Hot Chicken pop-up that has taken the South Bay food truck scene by storm since its establishment in 2018. Foodies in search of a sweet crunchy kick have had to follow the business on social media to find out where Scratch Cookery was going to show up next. But soon, they’ll only need to remember one address.
A pending beer and wine license found in state public records indicates that Scratch Cookery is taking over the former Tangerine Hookah Bar at 30 Fountain Alley in downtown San Jose. Owner Khanh Vu has confirmed these plans with What Now San Francisco, adding that they hope to open by early March. A formal announcement from Scratch Cookery is to follow in the coming weeks.
Scratch Cookery has been a fleeting fixture at plenty of breweries and night markets throughout the Bay Area. They are known for their own delectable blend of spicy and sweet Nashville Hot Chicken, served as sandwiches, tenders, and wings. For more information, check out their Instagram and Facebook pages.
