Saucy Oakland has steadily grown its following from its current outpost at Telegraph Avenue. But with their current lease nearing its end, the restaurant has already begun plotting its relocation. By early April, you may find Saucy at 468 8th St. in the former La Guerrera’s Kitchen space.

Owner Tony Ngo tells What Now San Francisco that the new location is dependent on the approval of a pending beer and wine license he recently submitted to the state. Aside from the new digs, Ngo assures that we can expect the same great flavors and sauces they’ve been serving up since 2015.

Saucy Oakland is known for their hamachi shooters, thai corn dogs, basque cheesecakes, and so much more. Influenced by Japanese and Thai cuisine, their menu is paired with a love for premium sake to make a truly unforgettable meal.

The restaurant specializes in a rotating tasting menu that allows Ngo, a chef with a background in Japanese and French cuisine, to experiment with new dishes. Alongside Jenni Nguyen, Ngo started Saucy as a popup in which they developed around 20 homemade sauces.

Their most successful popup dishes eventually made it onto their restaurant menu, which is always being refined to offer a new and exciting adventure. The six-course Chef Tasting menu paired with sake comes highly recommended. For more information, visit www.saucyoakland.com.
