“Everything is like a connection: the flour, the yeast, the tomatoes that we get, the cheese, everything,” owner Steven Barrantes tells the Journal — “There’s a connection to every aspect of it, and that’s really the craft, and that’s why it’s never-ending. There’s so much technique and styles.”
While the address of the upcoming brick-and-mortar spot hasn’t been announced yet, Barrantes shares that he hopes to add tavern-style and deep-dish pizza to the menu — alongside existing items such as Detroit-style pizza, Sicilian-style pizza, hot wings, and cheese bread.
“There’s an actual art form to (pizza) in every capacity” — “There’s no way I can get bored…I feel like I’m learning something every day as a pizza maker and as a business owner.”
Barrantes continues, “Pizza brings people together” — “It’s deeper than pizza for me. I think there are connections that happen. It’s a communal food…and who doesn’t love bread, cheese, and sauce?”
