An Instagram post shares that, following a month filled with chef collaborations — which include Blake King of ToriSumi Takitori, Ozzie Mendoza of Fowlmouth, and Pete Ho of Sumibiyaki Arashi — the restaurant will serve its last dinner on Thursday, August 31.
What Now San Francisco reached out to Tan Truong — a Hina Yakitori co-owner and partner at Jū-Ni — to inquire about the transition, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, according to the post, the space won’t stay dark for long — the Jū-Ni team is planning to debut a new, yet-to-be-named concept at the same address, and Chef Tommy Cleary will continue to head the kitchen.
An opening date has not yet been announced, so stay tuned for updates.
