A restaurant called Poppy is moving into the former Evergreen Garden Restaurant at 3100 18th St. in the Mission District, SF Chronicle reported first. The lauded “California breakfast” pop-up operated out of Fig & Thistle this summer and just recently got the keys for their brick-and-mortar location scheduled to debut Summer 2022

Poppy is known for delicious morning time meals, including the “Brekky Sandwich,” which consists of omelette-style eggs, garlicky broccoli rabe, and chili cheddar sauce packed in a brioche bun. They also have a Barley Waffle packed with fresh fruits and coconut sesame brittle, plus a Smoked Salmon Rillette Toast.

The concept was created by restaurant veterans Jessica Sullivan and Laurel Robinson, who both met while working at Delfina. Sullivan tells the Chronicle that most of the menu items that put them on the map – including her hash browns with labneh-romesco sauce – will be on the future restaurant menu.

The restaurant will be modeled with sunny “Southern California vibes,” while the menu will showcase “produce-forward Australian breakfast culture.” For more information about Poppy, visit their website and follow @poppy_sf_ca on Instagram for updates.

Correction: An earlier version of this article stated the address as 3100 8th St. This has been corrected to 3100 18th St.
