OakCali Cafe has a building permit filed with the City of Oakland to take over the neighboring space, 1605 2nd Ave. Representatives for OakCali have confirmed these plans, saying that licensing and construction should take a few months. We can expect the revitalized space to debut early 2022.
OakCali Cafe recently installed a covered patio for outside dining and when space opened up next door, they seized the opportunity to expand their restaurant further. This was bound to happen eventually, as OakCali has a steady growing fanbase throughout Oakland.
