A new wine bar in San Jose called Little Wine House will be coming soon to the Little Italy neighborhood. The business will be located at 350 W. Julian St., taking over the former Bel Bacio Cafe space on the same block as Paesano Ristorante Italiano and Piazza Piccola Italia.

Little Wine House is brought to us by Ty Chandler, who told What Now San Francisco this week that they hope to open mid-summer. They are currently gearing up to begin renovations on an 850 square-foot historical home, which will lend itself to the “cozy” and “intimate” vibes that Little Wine House intends to convey.
Many aspects of this project are in their infancy, but Chandler did toss around ideas they have for the space. “Our list isn’t exclusive to wines. There will be things like sours on there as well. All sourced locally of course, from Lodi to Napa. We will have some imported bubbles as well,” Chandler said.
For food, they want to have small plates including meatballs and fresh takes on classic salads. A big component of their menu will focus on crostini. That said, we’ll just have to wait patiently to see exactly how these ideas come to fruition. Stay tuned.
