KoStop’s concept is a Korean gastropub. Lim says he intends it to be a neighborhood restaurant where locals will not only want to dine for lunch or dinner, but also celebrate occasions or sporting events. There will be a bar inside that serves Korean beers and soju.

Customers can expect Korean fried chicken and street food, such as a spicy rice cake called Dok Boki. However, the menu is still being finalized to include other finger foods and vegetarian options.

Conscious of their proximity to UC Berkeley and the likelihood that many customers will be students, Lim also says that they will serve good portion sizes at a reasonable price point. Though they are still working on developing a website and social media, KoStop is currently training staff in preparation for their opening at the end of the month.
