According to a liquor license filed by Kakehashi Inc., Akari is opening up soon at 1155 Folsom St. in San Francisco.

Chief Financial Officer and director Tomohisa Mori said that they will specialize in Japanese food.

“We want to build a bridge (“Kakehashi”) between our home nations, the U.S. and Japan, bringing the people of each place closer together through a delicious dining experience,” said Mori.

Akari is brought to us by the same people who run Menya-Kanemaru, which specializes in ramen and other Japanese cuisines at 174 Valencia St. and Curry ya Tomo in San Francisco.

The restaurant is slated to be opened in a couple of months.
