Ha Mini Mart is set to open at 803 Grant Ave. in Chinatown, according to a DPH referral filed with the City of San Francisco. Records show that Ha Mini Mart is owned by Ha Tea Inc., who opened Ha Tea on Powell Street last year.

While the owner confirmed that Ha Mini Mart is a new store coming soon, they went silent after being pressed for further information. The space they are taking up previously housed the Grant Arts & Gift Center, at which “For Rent” signs have been posted as of June 2021. Google also notes that Grant Arts & Gift Center is temporarily closed.

Based on its previous tenants, 803 Grant Ave. is already set up as a retail space so one might guess that Ha Mini Mart will follow a similar plan. However, judging from the fact that the owners do already run a tea shop, it’s possible that Ha Mini Mart could be serving something similar, in addition to other snacks and drinks.

Seeing that they are at the health permit stage, timing suggests that they could be opening as soon as December. But due to the lack of an online presence, we wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see a official opening until 2022.
