Co-Owner Pamela Gorospe confirmed with What Now San Francisco this week that they are aiming to open by mid-November at the latest. She and brother Ryan, along with Ryan’s wife Angela, launched Hula Truck in 2014 and swiftly became known throughout the Bay Area for their take on Filipino comfort foods and other cuisine inspired by the Pacific Islands.
Items such as the Bayrito, which come filled with your choice of Chicken Adobo, Kalua Pork or Pork Tocino, and the Adobo Omelette, stuffed with Chicken Adobo Fried Rice, are what put Hula Truck on the map. They are also known for their Mama’s Lumpia, of which thousands are hand-rolled by Ryan’s mother every week.
Beyond the truck that travels all around the Bay, Hula Truck has stands at Levi’s Stadium and SAP Center. Considering this ongoing success, it’s no surprise that they are working to open their very own brick-and-mortar later this year.
