Cryus was one of the most popular fine dining destinations of Sonoma County back in its heyday, so much so that chef Douglas Keane earned two Michelin stars for his work. It was a mainstay at Hotel Les Mars in downtown Healdsburg until they were forced to close in 2012, but Keane always knew that it wouldn’t be the end of Cyrus.

Since then, he’s competed on Top Chef Masters and has been behind other concepts, Healdsburg Bar & Grill and Two Birds/One Stone. He decided to bring Cryus back to Sonoma County and announcements were made in early 2020, which in retrospect is very interesting timing.

At the time, it was said that Cyrus would reopen by 2021 but of course, as the pandemic would have it, everything happened much later than expected. But finally, a decade after its closure, Cyrus will return this September in Geyserville, SF Chronicle reports

Cyrus has been reimagined for the modern age, calling a three-story contemporary glass and concrete structure by Oliver & Co. its new home. If you have plans to check it out, expect a visual and immersive experience in which guests enjoy different courses of the meal as they advance through the building.

General reservations will open on July 8 for seatings that will start upon opening. For more information, visit www.cyrusrestaurant.com.
