Deep Purpl is brought to us by Brazilian-born Gabriel Fleury, whose concept took off in Chicagoland despite its typically cold weather. Expanding into the San Francisco market was a no-brainer for Fleury who, as a UC Berkeley alum, is no stranger to the Bay Area and California’s healthy superfood culture.

“We’re excited to make our way over to SF because we believe in our product and know that the people of the Bay will too,” he told What Now San Francisco this week, adding that the SoMa location is scheduled to open in early May. He also has a second store scheduled to open in June, located at 345 Spear St. near Google and Hills Plaza.

Deep Purpl’s açaí bowls are made with a blended açaí base, then customized to your heart’s content with unlimited toppings ranging from fresh fruits, chia seeds, cacao nibs, goji berries, almond butter, and more. For more information, visit deeppurplchicago.com.
