Fans of Novato’s Bacon on Grant Avenue and Pearl on Diablo Avenue should look forward to a new ice cream concept called Bliss. Owner Tien Lam confirmed with What Now San Francisco that his third venture, located at 109 San Marin Drive, is scheduled to open by early March at the latest.
Lam is excited to introduce Bliss, which will serve Japanese-style soft serve and taiyaki fish cones. The plan is to start with Asian-inspired flavors such as green tea, mango, taro, and more. Bliss is awaiting its final inspections and finishing touches, which are currently at the will of global supply chain issues.
Bliss is sure to be a delicious success, if Lam’s first two ventures are any indication. Bacon was voted Nextdoor’s 2019 Neighborhood Favorite and featured in Marin Magazine as one of the best breakfasts in town. More recently, their Pacifica Pan-Fried Frittata was featured on Check, Please! You Gotta Try This!
Lam fulfilled a life-long dream by opening Bacon in 2015, which is now owned and operated by his family. With locally sourced ingredients, they serve up a hearty breakfast and lunch menu that does not disappoint. Three years later, Lam introduced a Thai concept called Pearl, which not only serves Thai-inspired cuisine but also focuses on beautiful poke bowls and boba milk teas.
In the coming weeks, we’re sure that Bacon and Pearl will announce the coming of their sister restaurant, Bliss, with social media pages to follow. Until then, preparations are well underway at 109 San Marin Drive, where signage is already up and ready to welcome future customers.
