On Mariposa St., these new restaurants will be located on the ground floor of Mason, a luxury apartment building across the street from Jackson Park and the Anchor Brewing Company building. These will be the first new concepts opened by the Bay Area restaurant company since they introduced the Michelin-starred Selby’s to Redwood City in 2019.
At 1695 Mariposa St., Bacchus Management Group will open La Connessa, an Italian eatery that will serve modern interpretations of classic Italian plates and boast a variety of wines and Italian liquors. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the restaurant will boast a large, 86-seat dining area with a half-moon bar and lots of natural light.
Louie’s Original will serve up burgers at 1685 Mariposa St. The menu is set to include the well-known English muffin burger that’s served at Spruce, as well as other types of sandwiches, milkshakes, and soft-serve custard. With only 12 counter seats, an open kitchen, and 17 table seats, it will primarily focus on takeout and delivery.
Lastly, with Janina O’Leary baking pastries like cake doughnuts, Bacchus Management Group will open Magic Donuts & Coffee. The shop will be located at 1675 Mariposa St. and the coffee will be sourced from Roast Co., another of Bacchus’ concepts.
