T Phoenix will take over the space that was once Lovessy Asian Fusion Bistro, and will specialize in milk and boba teas and light snacks. Yanzhen Li, who owns the shop with three other women, says they decided to name their shop after the mythical phoenix, which is said to be a female bird.

T Phoenix will offer counter service and tables for dining in, and in addition to a variety of teas, will serve popcorn chicken, french fries, and a selection of noodles, among other light bites.

There’s no shortage of bubble tea in Inner Richmond, but a bubble tea joint that also serves popcorn chicken? Put us down for a whole bucket, please.
